A 25 foot tall beacon placed in the desert at Burning Man. It was covered in addressable LEDs and cycled through patterns to draw people from miles around. They would encounter a chair and a desk filled with blank postcards and stationery. A mailbox was placed at the base of the pole, and an ultrasonic sensor would cause the LEDs to react whenever a postcard was deposited. Songs would periodically play with the LEDs reacting using the technology developed in the sound-reactive infinity mirror project. It was entirely off the grid, weatherproof, and ran for seven days with minimal intervention. The postcards were stamped and mailed following the event.
